Two teddy bear hamsters together?

Can I keep two female teddy bear hamsters together? Not just as young hamsters, but into their adult years as well. I have a very spacious cage and was wondering if it would be possible to keep two of that species together, since much of the cage will be unoccupied with only one. :) Your input is greatly appreciated!
