How to make a small bedroom look bigger?

We're renting a condo and lucky me got stuck with an ugly green room haha. I don't know if we're allowed to paint it. Anyway I believe it's 10x14 although I could be wrong. I have a twin bed about 6 feet long (7 with head/footboard)with under-bed storage (sliding doors), a corner desk (this one to be exact a href="http://www.ergonomicoffices.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/corner-desk-ikea.jpg)," rel="nofollow"http://www.ergonomicoffices.net/wp-conte…/a a small nightstand that's about 24"x18", a dresser that's about 5', a TV stand about the same size as my nightstand, and another tall dresser but I plan on getting rid of that since I'll get 2 closets. How can I arrange my room so it looks spacious? I need all of my furniture unfortunately :\ My Dad said he might let me get the master but I'd feel bad taking that from him :\
